The Quality Assurance Office of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) has implemented the internal quality assessment project of the faculty and equivalent unit level for the year 2024. This initiative follows the policy of integrating the Total Quality Management (TQM) system with the university’s administration, in accordance with KMUTT’s Internal Quality Assurance Criteria. The focus is on Operations Management (OM), and the assessment was conducted between June and September 2024. This year’s assessment use a Site Visit method, with 22 units from faculties and equivalent departments participating, supported by 15 assessors. The primary objective is to continuously improve the operations of the university’s internal units.

This assessment emphasizes using the results to improve the quality of education, research, and academic services, leading to a systematic and sustainable quality assurance process. It also aims to develop personnel—both those being assessed and the assessors—ensuring they understand and can appropriately apply quality systems in their work.

Overall, the assessment has shown progress in units enhancing their systematic operations. A customer-focus approach is being integrated into various processes, creating a stronger connection in quality management, including Quality Planning (QP), Quality Maintenance (QM), Quality Control (QC), and Quality Improvement (QI), all aligning with the university’s expectations. This is a crucial component in strengthening institutional-level quality assurance, moving towards becoming an organization of excellence.
